The 2nd International Symposium on Advanced Materials and Nanotechnology (i-SAMN), formerly known as Workshop on Advanced Materials and Nanotechnology (WAMN), will take place near Putrajaya, Kuala Lumpur in August 2018. This event has been initiated by the Institute of Advanced Technology (ITMA), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) for the past 15 years.

This two-days symposium will be organized by the Institute of Advanced Technology (ITMA), in collaboration with the Department of Chemical and Environmental Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, UPM and Malaysia Nanotechnology Association (MNA). The SAMN event covers a wide range of topics from basic principles to new emerging applications in advanced materials and nanotechnologies. A pool of research experts in nanomaterials and nanotechnology are anticipated to join in the 2018 event. The keynote and plenary speakers as well as the symposium program will be announced nearer the time.

INSTITUTE OF ADVANCED TECHNOLOGY (ITMA)

Institute of Advanced Technology (ITMA), Universiti Putra Malaysia was established in 1999 as an interdisciplinary advanced research institute. In line with university’s research restructuring in 2012, ITMA has reformed its niche area to Advanced Materials and Nanotechnology focusing on areas such as materials synthesis and characterization, materials processing and technology, and materials applications in sensors and functional devices.

ITMA develops world-class research laboratories, attracts renowned researchers and trains future research leaders in niche areas related to advanced materials and nanotechnology. ITMA shares its research findings, expertise and facilities with research communities and industries throughout the world. ITMA also has been granted accreditation of MS ISO/IEC 17025 for its laboratory services.

CALL FOR PAPER

Participants are invited to submit extended abstracts on the following topics (but not limited to):

Green synthesis/processing of advanced materials/nanomaterials, Green products and applications of advanced materials/nanomaterials,          Nanocomposites, Nanocoatings, Nanofluids, Nanocatalysts, Nanosensors, Nanoelectromagnetics, Nanoporous Materials, Nanooptics, Nanoelectronics, Nanoenergy, Nanodelivery, Nanoagriculture, Nanotoxicology, Environment and Safety and other related topics of interest

All extended abstract must be written in English. Only two (2) pages are required and formatted following the standard TEMPLATE single column format (A4 size). You can download the template and submit the completed extended abstract through https://www.edas.info/N24934 .

Selected papers will be published in “SAMN2018 Special Issue” in the International Journal of Nanotechnology Inderscience Publishers and Asian Journal of Nanoscience and Materials.
